Scenes of a Folk Life explores the meeting point between folk traditions from the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway and classical music. Featuring works by Julius Röntgen, Amanda Maier, and Edvard Grieg, the album presents new arrangements for string ensemble, highlighting dances, songs, and the shared musical spirit of these three countries.

This album, Scenes of a Folk Life, is released in a special format. Alongside the music, it includes an illustrated and designed booklet by artist Roland Toth.
 
For each composer and piece, a contextual background story is provided, accompanied by quotations from the composers themselves. In addition to the texts, the booklet features illustrations inspired by the music, created using the linocut technique.
